Brijmohan Agrawal affectionately called 'Mohan Bhaia' is a name to figure with in the state legislative issues of Chhattisgarh. Conceived in an modest family in Raipur he rose to political popularity with the appearance of the adolescent wing of the then rather advancing radical patriot party the Janata party referred to today as the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Brijmohan Agarwal ji was born on May 1, 1959 at Raipur in Chhattisgarh. He holds a Master's degree in Commerce, and has done LL.B from Durga Mahavidyalaya in Raipur. Political career of Brijmohan Agrawal:
The political career of Agrawal ji started in 1974 when he became leader of student union and stood against the partial marks distribution of school exam. Then after he joined ABVP. During 1977 he became volunteer of Janata party and became an active part of student’s politics. Then in 81-82 Agarwal ji became  president of Durga Mahavidyalaya Raipur, and also legal advisor of student union at Pt. Ravi Shankar Shukla University Raipur.

Then in 1984 he became an active member of Bhartiya janata party. Form this point slowly he started blooming as a leader and participated in many important activities for public welfare. In 1990, Brijmohan Agrawal was elected as the M.L.A of Raipur. Then in 1998, 2003and 2008 also he won vidhan sabha elections. When he was elected as M.L.A of undivided Madhya Pradesh he was the youngest M.L.A ever chosen in the Legislative Assembly of M.P. In 1997 he was rewarded for the best M.L.A in the state. 

In 2005 he owed ministry of Revenue, Rehabilitation, culture, Law, and tourism. In 2013 he became minster of became minister of Agriculture, Fish Rearing, Animal Husbandry, and Water Resources of Chhattisgarh state. And was awarded in 2014 for the state`s record production of grains.
